Talking Stick

Traditional design handmade American Indian Talking Stick.

60 cm long (not including the tassels).

Talking sticks are a ceremonial item that were used by the Native American council meetings.

They were used as a courtesy not to interrupt a chief when he was speaking.

The talking stick was then passed to each council member that wanted to speak.

In order to show significance, the talking stick was adorned with feathers, leather and beading.
